WHAT IS AWANA?

The AWANA program of Mount Rachel Baptist Church is a Bible centered ministry for toddlers through 5th grade. Our goal is to love children to Jesus by teaching them the truths of God’s Word, encourage scripture memorization, and the importance of serving Him. While at club each week, children participate in GAME TIME, HANDBOOK TIME AND LARGE GROUP DISCUSSION TIME. To learn more about our exciting AWANA program, please contact

Puggles is relatively new to AWANA and is for all children 2 to 3 years old (after September 1). AWANA Puggles teaches toddlers simple lessons through teaching cards, activities, music and more. Then parents may step in with take-home cards that include ideas to point out God's work every day.

Cubbies is for children ages 3, 4, and 5 years old (not yet in kindergarten). The Cubbies handbooks, Jumper and Hopper, are written in a fun, storybook style that appeals to preschoolers. Each handbook contains 24 Bear Hug sections along with six optional special-day sections.

Sparks is for children ages K-5 through 2nd Grade. AWANA Sparks builds on the material taught in our preschool club. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God’s Word.

TNT is for all 3rd through 5th grade. Boys and girls meet in separately. Each club meeting has three parts. In Game Time clubbers play exciting games on the Awana Game Circle. During Council Time they have a Bible lesson. During Handbook Time, clubbers recite Bible verses from memory, complete handbook sections and earn awards.

WHAT TIME DOES CLUB BEGIN?

Club meets every Wednesday night beginning at 6:30. All clubbers report to the sanctuary to “get fired up” before beginning their nightly rotation.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Clubbers should bring their Bibles, handbooks, dues (25 cents), their uniform, plenty of sections to recite and a friend!!! Along with a great attitude, you can rack up big points to spend at the AWANA store!!! Don’t miss the easy points!
